eTwinning Project “Crazy, Easy, Fizzy Friendship” – A Fizzy Friendship through Education, Creativity, and Technology

In an increasingly interconnected world, the international eTwinning project “Crazy, Easy, Fizzy Friendship” has shown how modern education can bring together students from different corners of the world through collaboration, technology, and friendship. Launched in November 2024, this partnership brought together students and teachers from 14 countries: Romania, Turkey, Greece, Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Latvia, Croatia, Serbia, Jordan, and Portugal.

Clear Objectives, Profound Impact
The project was built on strong educational goals, including developing communication skills, promoting intercultural values, encouraging creative expression, and enhancing digital competencies. Students engaged in a variety of interactive, interdisciplinary, and transnational activities that turned learning into a captivating and memorable experience.

Educational and Fun Activities
Among the standout activities in the project were:

·        Creating a Digital Profile: Students responsibly presented their online identities, developing a sense of digital ethics.

·        Messages about Cultural Values: Young participants shared short messages expressing what friendship, respect, solidarity, and diversity mean to them.

·        AI-Generated Stories: With the help of AI tools, students created original stories, practicing critical thinking and imagination.

·        Digital Avatars with Bitmoji and Avatar Maker: An activity through which each student creatively and safely expressed their identity.

·        T-shirt Design and Project Logo: Students collaborated transnationally to create the official logo using Canva and designed personalized T-shirts for cultural exchanges.

Notable Collaborations
Romania – Turkey – Ukraine: Friendship Without Borders
The 3rd grade A students from CȘEI “Miron Ionescu” in Cluj-Napoca actively participated under the coordination of teachers Adela Petrenciu and Victoria Burduhos, in partnership with “Iordache Cantacuzino” Secondary School in Pașcani (teacher Maricica Bălteanu), and Fatih Imam Hatip Secondary School in Turkey (teacher Hatice Ozer).
Through online meetings via WhatsApp, the exchange of digital products, activities on the Padlet platform, and the creation of an international acrostic, students experienced real-time intercultural communication in a safe educational environment.

Platforms and Technologies Used
To ensure effective activity implementation, the project utilized numerous digital tools:

·        Canva, PowerPoint – for visual creations and interactive presentations;

·        Wordwall – for educational quizzes;

·        Avatar Maker, Bitmoji – for digital identity expression;

·        Padlet – as a collaborative space;

·        Animated Drawings – to turn drawings into animations of solidarity;

·        ChatGPT – as a creative partner for generating the project title acronym.

Data Protection and Copyright Compliance
To ensure a safe and ethical space, students used avatars instead of real photos, and all platforms were managed by teachers, with parental consent where necessary. All content was either original or created using licensed resources and was used strictly for educational purposes.
